Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing equipment, vehicles, or facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide high-quality service while following company standards and safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative service
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Document service work, parts used, and labor accurately
- Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors or customers
- Follow safety guidelines, manufacturer specifications, and company policies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Previous experience as a service or maintenance technician preferred
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and service instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
