With over 75 safety and security features, the 2022 Jeep Compass is one of the safest cars of 2022 with this new IIHS rating.

The 2022 Jeep® Compass earned a spot in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK rating. The top safety pick rating is given after a vehicle is put through a series of tests that are used to determine a vehicle’s ability to protect its occupants in the event of a crash. The tests targets and imitates six types of impact that lead to a crash, three front impact types and the remaining three spread between side impact, rear impact, and rollover.

At the conclusion of the tests, the 2022 Jeep® Compass had the highest possible rating in each of the tests, a feat that ensures the compact crossover SUV earned a place in the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK rating.

In addition to excelling in the six crashworthiness tests, the 2022 Jeep® Compass’ automatic emergency braking technology also earned a superior rating, the highest possible rating for its Full-speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. Another feature that got a recognition nod is the Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking system which was rated “advanced.” Both are standard safety features out of the over 75 safety and security features in the 2022 Jeep® Compass.
